Need a score, music or soundscape for your film or theatre show?
Flea Circus Productions has been working with local ambient composer Jason Johnston, aka Stillano Briggs (Radionights, Masonik, Temple Sound) to produce the soundscape for the Creature Feature theatre production. Stillano's band Masonik currently has a residency at PICA Fuel Bar (Oct 2007) performing live experimental electronic music. He has composed several film scores and recently completed recording his first CD Radionights.
Jason's influences:
"Clouds,
especially when wind blown and moving fast across the sky. Light
reflections through prisms. My wife singing in the shower. Too much
Whiskey and the ensuing hangover. Trees as they sway in the breeze.
Birds chirping as the morning seeps in. Fremantle - especially her West
End around the port. Horizons - can't beat that nice neat line of
seperation. The sea. Non-literal attainment of ideas through unrelated
activities and thought processes. Subtlety. But especially clouds... "
"I try to capture the 'essence' of a
scene or place or feeling ... so licking an icecream on a hot sunny day
at the beach sounds exactly like that only somewhat more instrumental."
